The History of The Calgary Stampede

  • The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo, exhibition and festival held in July in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is a ten-day event that is also called “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth”.

The roots of the Calgary Stampede date back to 1886 when the Calgary and District Agricultural Society held its first fair. The event gradually evolved into what we know today. The first official Stampede was held in 1912 featuring rodeo events, exhibitions, and a parade.

Now, the Calgary Stampede attracts visitors from all over the world who come to experience western culture, thrilling rodeos, live music and more!

The Calgary Stampede promotes western heritage, agriculture, and community spirit. It celebrates cowboy culture, indigenous heritage, and the contributions of ranching and farming to Alberta and Canada as a whole. It is a beloved and iconic event in Canada and all around the world.

  • The Official Boot of The Calgary Stampede

In 2022, we became Stampede sponsors which meant becoming the Official Boot of the Calgary Stampede. We are honored to represent the CS brand through handcrafted leather cowboy boots of the utmost quality.

To show our appreciation, it has become a tradition to create a Calgary Stampede Commemorative Boot collection each year.  Through intricate design, we create meaningful and symbolic pieces of art in the form of cowboy boots.

Furthermore, we are the official bootmakers of the Calgary Showband, Stampede Royalty and we had the honor and privilege to create the Brand Doors inside the 2024 BMO Centre.
